Mack's Cash Grocery

Just went today for the first time. I got there right before lunch rush so some of the food was already cooked. It was still delicious but I'd rather go when they make the burgers hot off the grill and the onions rings right out of the fryer!

Mack's is an awesome little diner in Columbia, that I feel like doesn't get talked about enough. Their hot dogs are second to none and their burgers and giant and filling. The diner itself has a cute aesthetic in it and invokes a feeling of a family establishment where everybody knows your name. The staff is nice, the food amazing, and all for a great price!

Been in the area almost 6 years and I finally made it to Mack’s! It’s a small, old school diner but very popular. We walked in to a pretty decent line and customers came in consistently while we ate. I can say that we did not wait long at all. We ordered the cheeseburger and bacon cheeseburger and the both were really good! I’ll have to go back to try the chili dogs next. No complaints on service either.

You’ll be hard pressed to find better cheeseburgers or nicer folks. Quintessential small shop in the corner of the lot with magic inside. Open early, decent prices, and lots of history. Heartily recommended.

Mack's is a great burger spot to eat. The mom and pop restaurant is worth the trip to visit. It is not fancy by any means, but the food and service are very good. If you are visiting Columbia,SC, or live here, I recommend stopping by and getting a cheeseburger with fries . Those cheat day cravings of burgers and fries are worth the calories! The cost is great also. I went back, and the burgers and fries were still delicious!

Nice little place across from fire station. Service is quick and staff is courteous. Restaurant has been there a long time. Almost like stepping back in time. Lots of choices from burgers to hot dogs, etc.. Food is prepared to order. Burgers are really good. Onions Rings are delicious. Sweet tea was delicious and refreshing. Prices are very reasonable. Good job folk's!

Mac’s Cash Grocery is a true hidden gem! A classic greasy spoon with that old-school charm and even better prices. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the burgers? Hands down some of the best I’ve ever had — juicy, cooked just right, and full of flavor. You don’t find many spots like this anymore. Friendly service, no frills, just good food done right. If you’re looking for a throwback spot with great eats that won’t break the bank, Mac’s is it!
